Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is looking for an experienced and talented Software Engineer to join our Security Enhanced Information Sharing (SEIS) Mission Area, to help drive the quality assurance of a High-Performance Computing (HPC) solution that SealingTech is creating for the Department of Defense.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be part of our agile team, supporting the planning and execution of our quality assurance effort to ensure the solution meets the needs of our customers. You will participate in all aspects of solution development including design and problem solving, scripting, programming, integration, code reviews, testing, documentation, and demonstrations. You will attend daily standup status meetings and contribute to sprint planning and closeout demonstrations. You will learn and use multiple programming languages, Linux distributions, and development tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • 6 years of experience or equivalent education
  • 3 years of experience with Python
  • REST API development and DB backend experience
  • Familiar with software development lifecycle concepts and secure coding practices
  • Comfortable using the Linux CLI
  • Experience using Git and at least one build tool
  • Familiar with writing unit and functional tests
  • Capable of contributing to design and architecture discussions, and comfortable assisting with identifying user stories and defining backlog items
  • Able to complete tasks within the expected amount of time
  • Has a good grasp on when to ask for help and when to continue their research independently
  • Active participant during sprint closeout/planning and should be working with the team to define stories and provide reasonable story point estimates
  • Good understanding of security concepts such as least privilege, authorization, authentication, confidentiality, and integrity
  • Good communication skills

Preferred Knowledge and Qualification:

  • A working knowledge of other programming or scripting languages
  • Experience with SELinux policy development
  • Experience with full-stack Web development
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Experience with MS Teams, JIRA, and SharePoint
  • Security+ certified
  • Linux+ certified
  • Knowledge of High-Performance Computing
  • Knowledge of Ansible
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Trusted to work with customers with supervision

**This role has an internal job title of Software Security Engineer II**.  Salary Range: $90K-$116K  and potential to qualify for bonuses. The anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
