Position Overview:
Diligent are looking for someone who has a strong knowledge of development to join our Centrefor Global Product Innovation in Budapestand together build our new comprehensive Data Platform. We collect information from tens of thousands of sources and process this large amount of data with various tools including ML classification, NLP, and tagging toprovideinput for the Data Science team and a wide range of reports for our clients, all built on native AWS.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to apply effective analysis, design, programming, and testing skills to produce andmaintainscaled SaaS software solutions. They will be driven, resourceful and not feel intimidated by significant technical challenges.They will want to take ownership of the features they are working on, proactively drive improvements in software design and development practices, and might work with more junior members of the team to help develop their skills andoptimizethe performance of the team overtime
Key Responsibilities
In addition to core development activities for core modules and integration projects, you willbe requiredto:
Design, code,reviewand test assigned features and user stories,in accordance withthe agilemethodologyemployed byDiligent
Influence the design of the future state of the product, including separating out major components and sub-systems, designing and delivering prototypes, especially for back-endcomponents
Collaborate with the product ownerand engineering managerin the analysis and documentation of technical requirements and user stories for assignedfeatures
Assistwith production of high quality operational and system documentation asrequired
Communicate effectively with other development teams, production operations, anda number ofother technology groups, to ensure regular smooth delivery of working software toproduction
Required Experience/Skills
2+years’experiencein a hands-on development role at a commercial software company
2+ years of experiencewithAWS
Experience withC#, .NET
Problem-solver attitude – Technology agnostic approach
Good written and oral communications
Solid troubleshooting ability and skills
Ability to contribute to the effectiveness of a high-performing agile team, and to the productinnovation
Successfully manage own workload, and take personal responsibility and ownership for delivery,behaviours, and self-improvement
Keen to improve processes and share knowledge across theteam
PreferredExperience/Skills
Experience withNode.js
Experience with React, TypeScript
Experience with Microservices architecture
Experience with could tools, could native development, preferablyAWS
Test Driven Development experience preferable
CI/CD experience, containers, cloud deployments,Githubactions
Experience with Agile/SCRUM/Lean software development
Keen to learn more about new languages andframeworks
