Job Description Summary The Sr. Common Data Environment (CDE) Engineer will be responsible for leading implementation of systems in common data environments (CDE) used across a fleet of BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) construction projects. The Sr. Engineer is responsible for The CDE is a federated system of enterprise solutions shared across a team of partners designing, engineering, and constructing new plants. This role will have influence over multiple project teams and partner organizations and be involved in daily collaboration with internal and external engineering teams and stakeholders across multiple projects. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Coordinate and implement the CDE software and workflows in alignment with ISO 19650 standards. Deliver an integrated data centric CDE that is designed with scalability and maintainability for future BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactors. A strong background in system engineering on large (1,000s of people, $B of dollars) construction or software engineering projects is required. Has a Lean mindset to identify and implement workflows to drive automation throughout the design to construction process Collaborates effectively with multiple design and construction partners and stakeholders. Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with 10 years of experience as a Common Data Environment Engineer, Information Manager, or BIM Coordinator or similar role (in Drafting or Designing) OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 15 years of experience as a Common Data Environment Engineer, Information Manager, or BIM Coordinator or similar role (in Drafting or Designing) 5 years of experience working with large scale capital projects (Ex. New Power Plants, Shipbuilding, or Aircraft Manufacturing.) Eligibility Requirements: The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered. Desired Characteristics Experience implementing and/or supporting a Common Data Environment Experience using Autodesk Navisworks is essential, experience using Autodesk Inventor, Revit and Plant 3D is advantageous. Experience with ISO 19650 suite of standards Experience in Digital Engineering processes and management practices Have a sound working knowledge of Common Data Environments. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. The salary range for this position is $112k-160k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. This role contributes to the overall strategy of the business within the Systems Engineering area.
