OptumInsight provides analytics, research, consulting, technology and managed services solutions to hospitals, physicians, health plans, government agencies, life science companies and other industry partners. The Sr. Manager Cybersecurity oversees the security processes, procedures, and technologies required to meet the compliance, regulatory and protection requirements for the ProHealth Care enterprise. In this role, while supporting the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) the Sr. Manager Cybersecurity will provide line management, leadership, and strategic direction to the team of security engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide oversight and leadership to the security engineering team

Mentor, train, and develop skills of the team

Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures

Investigate and resolve issues

Create reports for management on security status

Build capacity planning and cost models

Drive continuous improvement of technology, processes, and procedures to align with stakeholder needs

Serve as an escalation point for security engineers

Work collaboratively with other supporting functions across the enterprise

Required Qualifications:

5+ years information security experience with focus in cybersecurity

3+ years of experience working with the some or all of the following security products: CrowdStrike, Proof Point, Tenable, LogRhythm, Tanium, CyberArk, Imprivata

3+ years of experience collaborating with and managing internal and external stakeholders

3+ years of experience in developing operational, program metrics, and KPIs

3+ years of experience with leading, mentoring, training and developing team members

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience/knowledge if CISSP, ITIL, CISM and/or ISO 27001

Experience with HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST CSF, PCI

Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, compliance

Experience implementing security solutions

Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, email inspection and sandboxing, intrusion detection and preventions systems, endpoint detection and response

Deep understanding of the current threat landscape and associated risks

In-depth knowledge of threat intelligence lifecycle

Proven ability to research and analysis

Proven project management and project delivery skills

Proven high attention to detail

Proven problem solving skills

Proven critical thinking skills

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
