Position Summary:
Senior Manager/ General Manager Infrastructure, Network Operations, and Cybersecurity
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled General Manager for Infrastructure, Network Operations, and Cybersecurity to oversee and ensure the efficient and secure operation of our organization’s infrastructure, network systems, and cybersecurity measures. The General Manager will play an important role in developing and implementing strategies to maintain a robust and reliable infrastructure, optimizing network performance, and safeguarding our systems from potential cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Strategy & Management:
- Develop and implement strategies for managing and maintaining the organization’s infrastructure, including servers, storage & backup systems, Office 365, and data centers.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of the infrastructure to support business operations.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.
- Develop policies and procedures to support organizational objectives.
2. Network Operations:
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing the organization’s network operations to meet current and future business needs.
- Be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN.
- Implement and manage network monitoring tools and systems to proactively determine and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Monitor network capacity and performance metrics, and plan for future expansion or upgrades to accommodate growing business needs.
- Ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures.
3. Cybersecurity:
- Work closely with the global CIS team to implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies to protect the organization’s systems and data from potential threats.
- Supervise regular security assessments/ audits, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends in cybersecurity and ensure the organization’s compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead a team of cybersecurity champions to ensure the cybersecurity reporting and susceptibility metrics are met for India.
4. Leadership:
- Accountable for strategic 5-year network & infrastructure plan and annual operating/ budget plan.
- Evaluating new technologies for continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, technicians, and analysts to. ensure effective network monitoring, solving, and maintenance.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the infrastructure, network operations, and cybersecurity teams.
- Champion a collaborative and positive work environment, empowering team members and promoting their professional growth.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with network service providers, equipment vendors, and contractors to ensure timely resolution of issues.
5. Senior stakeholder management:
- Work with the global teams to provide enterprise strategic direction for regional and global IT infrastructure & network architecture while working with senior leaders such as global/ regional CIS head, MD’s office, BU heads etc. to ensure infrastructure and network uptime and employee experience.
- Manage infrastructure projects from creating strategies, working on budget approvals, to working with multiple multi-functional and cross-geography teams to ensure successful execution, negotiating, and managing vendor contracts, service agreements, and vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience of 15+ years in infrastructure management, network operations, and cybersecurity.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, and security standards.
- Proficiency in managing and solving complex infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, and data centers.
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and tools.
- Experience in leading and managing a team of IT professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- ITIL certification will be beneficial.
