Overview Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for a Senior Oracle Database Developer. This will be a 100% remote position. SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT. Responsibilities Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex business, accounting, and management information systems. Work with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives. Perform modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures. Assist users in the operation of the application. Provide guidance to less experienced programmer/analysts. Perform all functional duties independently. Work on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s). Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Qualifications A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred. 10+ years of experience in software development and/or related field. Expertise in Oracle Application Development and PL/SQL. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools (preferably VersionOne) and IT Service Management Systems (preferably ServiceNow). Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead discussion across multiple groups, Effective liaison experience between business and technical teams. Ability to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program. Ability to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel. Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex business, accounting and management information systems. Extensive experience developing/supporting software applications using more than one of these software technologies: Java, Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, Visual Basic. Extensive experience collaborating with end users to define new software system requirements. Experience training/instructing end users on the use of software applications. Must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance – Position of Public Trust – and may be required to obtain a higher security clearance. All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card) or H1B visa. Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
