We are looking for a staff back end software engineer to work on our emerging customer-facing application. This engineer will be someone that cares deeply about quality, business impact, and stability of the systems they build. The projects we need this individual to work on are highly visible and customer-centric.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of industry experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as: Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or Go
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, deploying, operating, scaling, testing, and evolving distributed systems
- 3+ years of experience as a mentor, tech lead and/or leading an engineering team
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation, large scale automation and workflow management
- Experience using AWS including services like AWS ECS, Lambda & S3
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD in a cloud environment
- Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, Elastic APM, Datadog, and/or Prometheus
- Experience writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and/or AWS CDK
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Google AdWords, Microsoft Advertising or Facebook Ads
- Experience building Machine Learning systems
