Job Summary: OPPORTUNITIES ARE SHIPBOARD ON AN OCEAN-GOING MARINE VESSEL, WORKING EXTEND HOURS FOR MULTIPLE WEEK ROTATIONS, FOLLOWED BY MULTIPLE WEEK HOME LEAVES Responsibilities to Anticipate: Evaluate, recommend, install, and support the radar’s local area network (LAN) hardware and software. Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, computer systems, etc. Archive data, transfer archived data off the marine vessel, and perform configuration management of system software. Manage user accounts and system security settings. Support mission operations staff and works closely with data processor and signal processor system engineers. Maintain system software and hardware to include operating systems (Solaris, HP-UX, Windows, Red Hat Linux, NetApp Data ONTAP and Cisco IOS) and diagnostics. This position will perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission. Basic Qualifications: Must possess and maintain a government issued Secret Security Clearance and a CompTIA Security+ certification. Must successfully pass an annual mariner physical examination. Five years of computer systems administration and maintenance experience with a heterogeneous network of systems in a LAN and/or WAN configuration. Network administration and fault isolation/troubleshooting experience with Cisco hardware and switch/router configurations. Familiarity with UNIX to include the ability to write and understand Perl and shell scripts and good troubleshooting skills. Experience with the following: UNIX hardware and operating systems installation, (including cabling and peripherals) and administration to include Solaris, HP-UX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar architectures. NetApp NAS filers and clustered Data ONTAP (cDOT) operation systems Cisco router and switch installations and administration Microsoft Windows Server including DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy administration. Current CompTIA Security+ CE and Red Hat RHCSA certifications Preferred Qualifications: ACAS and HBSS administration and maintenance experience. VMware vSphere administration and maintenance experience. RSA SecurID administration experience. Installation and configuration of NetBackup. Familiarity with DoD DIACAP and/or RMF cyber-security risk management. Experience in the management of computer system security actions and/or in the development of the procedures that support such actions. Experience in handling and safeguarding of classified and national security information. Experience in supporting engineering efforts concerned with the testing and evaluation of newly fielded and/or prototype systems. Computer operations and maintenance experience in support of phased-array radar systems. Knowledge of phased array radar technical principles. Experience in coordinating technical matters with external vendors. Software environments using Matlab, Apex, STK, and Oracle. Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM Discipline but relevant work and/or military experience may be used in lieu of degree. #LI-TS1, LI-HYBRID The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD – 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
