Department Overview The Systems Integration/Software Deployment Engineering Operations organization supports our systems engineers and software solution architects in the deployment of our customer-driven, world-class end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges of first responder, government, carrier, utility, transportation, and enterprise customers. The operations organization supports systems engineers in their effort to ensure the delivered technical integrity of our solutions. The operations include a foundation of support for the people, the processes, and the tools our systems engineers use in their day-to-day work at Motorola Solutions. Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Systems Integration and Software Deployment Engineering Operations leader to join our team. As an Engineering Operations Leader, you will play a critical role in overseeing effective technology deployment and operations, ensuring efficient and accurate outcomes, and driving continuous process improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned systems engineer with a strong background in radio systems and/or software deployment to lead and shape the future of our technical deployment operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee technology deployment operations processes, ensuring successful implementation and execution of projects.
- Develop, centralize, and institutionalize technology deployment processes, tools, training/onboarding programs, and metrics to drive operational excellence.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and work partners to foster collaboration, alignment, and effective communication.
- Provide leadership and guidance in recruiting and hiring practices to build a high-performing technical deployment team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technology deployment and operations, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to the organization.
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the engineering operations team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Seasoned systems engineer with 8/10+ years of experience in radio systems and/or software deployment.
- Strong leadership experience in technology deployment and operations, with a track record of successfully leading and managing teams and/or complex technical deployments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in recruiting and hiring practices, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in technology deployment and operations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering results.
