About The Role The Manager, Technical Accounting & Special Projects will support CrowdStrike’s growth through mergers and acquisitions, as well as other special projects, by working cross-functionally with our corporate development, finance, legal, and sales and channel alliances teams, to provide technical accounting support and expertise. Expected projects include: (1) mergers and acquisitions, beginning with financial due diligence (FDD) and ending with integration of acquirees into CrowdStrike’s global processes; (2) strategic investments; (3) financial services transactions; and (4) other ad-hoc projects for strategic, operational, or regulatory changes. You will work remotely and report to the Senior Manager, Accounting M&A. What You’ll Do Collaborate with the M&A and technical accounting teams during the FDD process and conduct/document interviews with the target’s management team and/or direct the use of FDD and valuation advisors where needed Provide technical accounting and pro forma presentation advice around deal structure and terms Assess significant accounting practices, quality of earnings, and long-term growth projections of target companies Partner with deal and process leads post-closing to ensure smooth integration of data/systems/people into CrowdStrike’s global processes, serving as a key contact through integration Perform and document technical accounting analysis on new strategic investments Maintain fund accounting records, perform quarterly reconciliations, and coordinate with the accounting operations team to record all strategic investment related activity Perform strategic investment quarterly impairment assessments Support finance, legal, and sales and alliances in the delivery of new financial products and services by providing technical accounting expertise Assist with the design and maintenance of processes and procedures related to new financial products and services Provide technical accounting expertise on topics including, but not limited to, business combinations (ASC 805), share-based compensation (ASC 718), fair value measurement (ASC 820), investments (ASC 320, 321, and 310-10), derivatives (ASC 815), and related SEC regulations Assist Senior Manager, Accounting M&A and Senior Director, SEC & Technical Accounting with ad-hoc projects and new initiatives Facilitate audit requests from external auditors as needed What You’ll Need 5-7 years accounting / finance / M&A experience, ideally with a background in accounting advisory or transaction services CPA with a diverse and strong technical accounting background Participation in at least 2 deals in the last 3 years as an employee of the acquiror, a consultant, or a member of an external audit team Ability to work autonomously in complex situations Team player who welcomes responsibility and thrives in an intense, fast-paced environment Resourceful and solutions oriented self-starter with intellectual curiosity, a point of view, and interest in proactive participation Excellent project management and verbal and written communication skills Willingness and ability to collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike Remote-first culture Market leader in compensation and equity awards Competitive vacation and flexible working arrangements Comprehensive and inclusive health benefits Physical and mental wellness programs Paid parental leave, including adoption A variety of professional development and mentorship opportunities Offices with stocked kitchens when you need to fuel innovation and collaboration We are committed to fostering a culture of belonging where everyone feels seen, heard, valued for who they are and empowered to succeed. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $95,000 – $155,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
