Today, one of our key areas is high-converting ecommerce projects on Shopify/WP/React, and we aim to be at the forefront of this niche. Since our establishment in 2019, we have successfully completed over 500 projects and built a team of more than 90 talented and like-minded individuals. However, we are not content to rest on our laurels, exciting tasks and new projects lie ahead.

Currently, the Peachy team is searching for a highly skilled Technical Lead (working on an hourly basis) to oversee and guide our development team, consisting of 7 in-house developers and an additional 8 partners. As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the implementation of the solution architecture within the scope of your team’s work. Along with your own assignments, you will also support the individual engineers on the team by promoting good engineering practices, role-modeling effective code reviews, and answering technical questions.

What’s we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack JavaScript development, with a strong focus on e-commerce.
  • Proven experience as a Technical/Team Lead or similar role. 
  • Strong proficiency in Shopify, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of OOP and functional programming; Knowledge of SOLID principles of software development.
  • Experiences with code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous deployment, highly scalable applications, application security.
  • Demonstrable ability to break large architectural and implementation problems into logical smaller solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 7 Shopify developers and 8 external partners.
  • Correctly allocate resources to optimize project outcomes.
  • Organize the daily routine to ensure the optimal workflow of the development team.
  • Conduct code quality control and monitoring.
  • Establish correct Git processes and best practices.
  • Provide guidelines for coding to achieve positive Web Core Vitals scores.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Provide a roadmap to the team for implementing improved software engineering practices for higher code quality and working towards best in-class engineering practices.
  • Provide input on the development of project plans, test plans and implementation plans including determining estimates on time frames, needed resources.
  • Provide expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business.
