For which tasks (responsibilities)?

The VFX Artist is responsible for creating, VFXfor characters, environments, UI and in-game cinematics for Dreams Quest Games. This position requires exceptional artistic ability and technical expertise in areas such as particle systems, shadergraph, and understanding in VFX for mobile.

Responsibilities:

  • Create mobile friendly VFX in unity using Particle systems, shader graph, mesh and textures.

  • Create meshes, textures, flipbooks as per the fx.

  • Create optimised VFX in collaboration with Technical artist to make sure VFX runs on all platforms.

  • Collaborate with team members for integration and implementation of the VFX.

  • Understand development requirements before creating vfx.

  • Implement assets into the Unity game engine.

  • Task completion and reporting to team members.

  • Ensure that all assets meet the technical and artistic requirements of the project.

  • Stay up-to-date with new technology and techniques in environment art

What kind of professional are we looking for?

  • Strong knowledge of VFX in Unity and particle systems in Unity 3D URP is a must.

  • Understanding of how animation works in Unity.

  • Understanding of meshes and UV to work around texture animation/fx.

  • Strong understanding of models, UV packing, texture baking and fundamentals of PBR textures.

  • Real-world understanding of proportion, depth, scale, and physical space

  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in English
