At O(1) Labs our mission is to catalyze a new generation of applications powered by zero-knowledge cryptography. We are looking for a talented and motivated engineer or architect to join the O(1) Labs Engineering team. This is a chance to join a small, collaborative team and have a ton of independence while working on fascinating cross-disciplinary problems.
Responsibilities
- Drive application use-case definition and adoption of o1’s zero knowledge proof technology (primarily the o1js SDK) in applications, with benefits that can include privacy and gas cost efficiency amongst many others. This will be achieved both through working with partners and at times through hands-on building of application components for the market.
- Own partner technical relationships, including responsibility for progressing partners’ adoption of o1js and its use with the Mina blockchain (e.g., proactively following up with and mentoring technical counterparts).
- Assist partners in adopting o1js. This should include:
- Being able to articulate the benefits of o1js and Mina on a stand-alone basis and in relation to competitive offerings.
- Providing suggestions and feedback for the architecture of zk usage in partners’ solutions, including in relation to user experience and performance.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of o1js, Mina, and surrounding infrastructure and primitives to the extent required to provide technical guidance for partners’ solutions.
- Provide input to go-to-market strategies.
- Team with Business Development to recruit new partners through participation in industry events, marketing of our and our partners’ work, and targeted outreach (including, in some circumstances, taking on an individual recruitment goal).
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills (including but not limited to Typescript and blockchain technology, focused on solving problems at an architectural level). Knowledge of zero knowledge proof technology is an advantage.
- Ability to ramp up on partner stacks quickly (in different programming languages).
- An understanding of the practical application and performance of zk application technology, including for surrounding elements such as data sources and state bridges.
- A willingness and ability to build zkApps to develop skills, remain up-to-date on the product and contribute to the ecosystem.
- Aptitude for engaging with technical counterparts and decision-makers, managing the relationships and driving partnerships forward to valuable outcomes, including by leveraging partner programs.
- A willingness to engage in program management and outreach to potential new partners.
