What You’ll Do: – Lead technical initiatives and guide developers to create robust, cloud native, resilient, and highly scalable solutions in data management and security domains – Share your passion for staying up-to-date with tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and mentoring others in the engineering community – Promote a culture of engineering excellence and effective management, reusing and sharing solutions where possible – Collaborate with architects and product managers to deliver powerful cloud-based solutions for our customers Basic Qualifications: – Bachelor’s Degree – At least 6 years of experience in software engineering – At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) – At least 1 year of experience with Big Data, Data Security, Governance and Controls – At least 1 year of experience with containerization technologies Preferred Qualifications: – Master’s Degree – 7+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in GoLang, Java, Python, Lua, Nginx, Rust, or C++ – 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure – 2+ years of experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes – 2+ years of experience in open source frameworks – 2+ years of experience in Big Data, Data Security, Governance and Controls – 2+ years of experience in Agile practices – 2+ years of experience building Multi-cloud COTS products – 2+ years of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience Salary: Remote (Regardless of Location): $167,400 – $191,000 for Lead Software Engineer Benefits: Capital One offers a comprehensive and inclusive set of health, financial, and other benefits to support your total well-being.
