Position Overview: The Site Reliability Engineer at Harbor Compliance is crucial for ensuring the availability, scalability, and security of our Linux-based infrastructure which supports both internal and external clients. In this role, you will work closely with Software Development and IT Services teams to develop and execute robust infrastructure strategies that align with our business goals. Your success will be measured by your ability to design and implement these strategies, ensure high uptime, and continuously improve our system performance. Key Responsibilities: Ensure optimal availability of our SaaS platform for all users by maintaining and upgrading infrastructure. Design and implement infrastructure solutions that adhere to industry best practices for scalability, reliability, and observability. Continuously measure and enhance system performance, focusing on efficient and effective solutions. Diagnose and remediate production issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption. Influence software design and architecture decisions as the subject matter expert on infrastructure, promoting best practices and system performance. Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including playbooks and instruction manuals, to support ongoing operations and crisis management. Required Qualifications: Proven experience in building and supporting client-facing SaaS applications on Linux platforms (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu). Skilled in utilizing major cloud service providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) for infrastructure management. Proficient with infrastructure as code frameworks such as Ansible and Terraform. Experienced in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like CircleCI and Jenkins. Familiar with version control systems, particularly Git. Strong background in system monitoring using platforms like New Relic. Knowledgeable in both SQL and NoSQL database technologies. Effective in programming or scripting languages. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. In-depth experience with Azure-specific services and Kubernetes in a production environment. Expertise in identity and access management. Location and Hours This is a full-time position. You are welcome to work remotely or from our Rockville, MD, or Lancaster, PA, offices.
