You would utilize Metering, Telemetry & Streaming Technologies to enhance risk assessment and customer engagement through real-time data collection, data store and data analysis. Our Senior Manager is an engineering leader who works with the engineering staff to innovate and build new engineering solutions, improve and enhance existing solutions as well as leverage engineering solutions to solve critical operational problems. A Senior Manager will lead strategy and execution of a technical roadmap that will increase the velocity of delivering products and unlock new engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise to improve application performance, capacity benchmarking, improve availability and reliability, design and evolve cloud infrastructure and architecture. As a Senior Manager within our Exchange Data Team, you will: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to design, develop and maintain robust data movement pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and architect scalable solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and integration. Drive the implementation of best practices for data governance, security, and compliance throughout the data movement process, leveraging Azure Data Lake Services for efficient data age and processing. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data pipelines including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure reliability and performance. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in data movement and provide guidance on their adoption and implementation. Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and roadmap new data initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the data engineering team, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional development. Qualifications Experience as a Lead and mentor of a team of data engineers to design, develop and maintain robust data movement pipelines using a variety of technologies including (but not limited to) Airbyte, Airflow, Kafka, Flink, CDC technologies like Debezium, Oracle Golden Gate as well as relevant Big Data technologies like Hudi, Presto, Trino, and Azure Data Lake Services Experience working with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) Strong understanding of big data concepts and technologies, including distributed computing, Hadoop ecosystem, Spark etc. Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and concepts (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.) Proven ability to concentrate and demonstrate a capacity for learning technical concepts and adapting to new technologies quickly. Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience with relevant services for data storage, processing, and analytics. Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and core computer science concepts Fluency with RESTful Web Services, and Event Driven Architectures Fluency with at least one modern language such as Python, Java, Go and experience with open-source software is a big plus Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements. Experience 10+ years of software development experience with a significant portion on designing, building, and operating large-scale, mission-critical distributed systems. Proven experience (5+ years) managing engineering teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
