Our partner is a French comapny that provides private university-level education all around the globe. They are looking to expand their team at Budapest with a Senior Integration Engineer to work on the EdTech platform of the future.
The objective of the STEP (STudent ExPerience) project is to offer the best experience to our students and staff (timetabling, program and courses management, etc) in France with a redesign of the new student information system (SIS). This new system is centric and at the heart of the IT eco-system. SIS will interact with the various IT systems: Sales, HR, Finance, BI, etc. One of the major challenges of the project is the exchanges between these different systems with services-oriented architecture.
Your new role
You will have the ability to act as an Integration / Middleware Engineer helping other teams and projects in order to align our efforts in similar activities. Reporting into the STEP IT Program Management you and your team will work on the implementation of a middleware solution. As an Integration Engineer you will be in charge of the design and development of the interfaces between the different bricks of the IS of tomorrow, in full transformation, while maintaining the existing one.
Tasks:
- Design the architecture of the IS of tomorrow in collaboration with the team
- Be responsible for the design and construction of interface flows using several technologies (API, Web Services, rails)
- Develop, test & implement operable and efficient integration solutions
- Standardize practices, usage and implementation methods
- Monitor and check the compliance of the Middleware installed with regard to the architectural requirements
- Build and maintain a library of the services
What you’ll need to succeed

5+ years of experience in Web OR Back-end development, REST APIs no longer hold any secrets for you

2+ years of experience with middleware solutions, like webmethods.io or any similar (MQ solutions, Service Bus, etc.)

You are well organized, rigorous, and methodical

You know how to analyze a problem, you’re capable of proposing several solutions highlighting the advantages and disadvantages

Advanced English (both verbal and written)
