BALLAD CORPORATE Information Technology – IT Enterprise Development Full-time (scheduled 72 hrs or more per pay period) – Day Job Description SCOPE OF POSITION A Programmer Analyst is predominately responsible for development and maintenance of applications necessary to meet the needs of Ballad Health. The primary function of the Programmer Analyst is to program, test, debug, and document application programs based upon business requirements and/or detailed specifications. The Programmer Analyst must show initiative, sound judgment and high aptitude for organization and attention to detail. They must possess good verbal and written communication skills, along with the desire to provide exceptional customer service. Above average intelligence is necessary to comprehend and solve problems. In addition, the Programmer Analyst will establish and direct the use of program specifications and standards; insuring system security, integrity and efficient utilization of automated systems. This includes the development of disaster backup and recovery plans. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP See Table of Organization. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Healthcare, Business or Computer Science) with 3 years of relative experience. Candidates with an Associate’s Degree will require an additional 5 years of experience in a similar position. In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of experience in system support, design, analysis and troubleshooting with successful performance in a position of similar duties will be required.
