Smartsheet is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to help guide analyses, create insights, and influence decisions. You will use data science skills and work with departments across the company to communicate key insights as a part of Smartsheet’s Business Intelligence team. This full-time position reports to the Data Science Manager and is based in Smartsheet’s corporate offices in Bellevue, WA. You Will: Partner with teams to understand their goals and develop meaningful metrics Complete the full analytics lifecycle from understanding the business metrics and understanding the data to developing automated reporting and visualizations Translate ad-hoc business questions into quantitative questions and hypotheses that can be answered using available data Create ML models and forecasts for product metrics Create well designed and compliant production data tables. Present insights and recommendation to teams to encourage data-informed decisions You Have: BA/BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research or other technical field 5+ years of professional experience in quantitative analysis Experience in creating ML models (ex. regression, time series, clustering, decision trees) and usage of statistical tools Experience with data programming languages and visualization tools (ex. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location.
