The Data Services team at Patterson Dental specializes in crafting sophisticated data strategies, architecting robust data models, and enabling innovative self-service and data-driven capabilities. We play a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and deploying large-scale data warehouse solutions and other data services that power Pattersons leading SaaS products in the dental services market. The Senior Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping business strategies by uncovering high-value insights and trends from complex data sets. This role is instrumental in driving business value and informing the creation of new product features by demonstrating the potential of our foundational data capabilities. ? Performs thorough data validation and quality checks, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data outputs. Manages and manipulates large datasets using SQL and other data manipulation languages, ensuring optimal performance and accessibility. Identifies and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets, translating them into understandable and actionable business insights. Contributes to the development and implementation of data models and algorithms to enhance analytical capabilities. Provides mentorship and guidance to others, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team. Stays abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices, especially within the healthcare domain. Ensures the ethical use, safety, and privacy of Patterson and customer/patient data. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the healthcare or related industry. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and big data technologies. Knowledge of statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. ? Preferred Qualifications Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling. Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
