The College of General Dentistry is a membership organisation for dentists and the dental team within primary care dentistry. We support all members of the dental team throughout their careers by providing standards, professional frameworks and development opportunities.
We are seeking an experienced Membership Development Officer to help build and grow our membership base. You would work on a variety of initiatives to engage with prospective members and drive member recruitment.
The role is part-time, 28 hours a week (0.8 FTE) . The hours worked are flexible but would generally be expected to be within normal working hours. The role is 100% home based.

We are a small team, all working from home and so you will need to be self motivated in a home based role. Occasional travel will be required, including for periodic F2F team meetings, and other College events.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Research prospective new members for the College
- Develop processes to streamline conversion of existing contacts to membership
- Communicate with prospective members and manage the on-boarding process
- Analyse data and compile periodic reports on progress using the CRM
Essential skills and experience:
- Prior experience of member relationship management, or member recruitment
- Experience of using CRM systems to analyse data
- Articulate and confident in written and verbal communications
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Highly organised and proven administrative skills
- Proactive approach
- Results driven and tenacious
- A drive and a passion for process excellence and improvement

The College of General Dentistry is a new and growing organisation. As well as being the only membership College for primary care dentistry, we are the only medical College across healthcare that welcomes all members of the team : hygienists, therapists, dental nurses, technicians as well as dentists.
