£50,000-£70,000 per annum (Level 4)

My client is seeking a Data Architect to join a leading UK aviation and aerospace regulator, recognised globally for its excellence. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver a comprehensive data management strategy, contributing to the achievement of the organisation’s business objectives. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, collaborative, and eager to learn and grow within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver the data management strategy and architecture, ensuring ongoing monitoring and adherence to maximise business benefits.
  • Act as the Data Architect on key projects, managing data specialists and leading contract resources as needed.
  • Oversee business activities to ensure compliance with architectural standards and guidelines, developing processes for adherence monitoring and resolution of non-adherence.
  • Establish metrics for tracking and measurement of data architecture initiatives, reporting back at all levels across the organisation.
  • Develop the Data Architecture roadmap and integrate it with the wider enterprise architecture.
  • Serve as the technical design authority for data across all internal and external projects.

Essential Requirements:

  • Broad knowledge of all architectural disciplines
  • Strong understanding or all data management activities and the delivery of strategies in these areas
  • Ability to collaborate and influence at all levels.
  • Conceptual, logical and physical data modelling
  • Deep understanding of Master and Reference Data Management
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in the data management field
  • Proven track record of delivering data architecture in a complex environment.
  • The ability to explain complex concepts to all levels across the organisation.

The Selection Process

Clearance required:
The post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance. To be vetted we will usually expect a reasonable period of residency in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken. For this role this will need to be 5 years.
