(REMOTE) RI-0430 Technical Analyst, 4+ Months Contract Sigma INC is looking to hire a Technical Analyst to work remotely for our client. Job Summary: The Technical Analyst (TA) works as part of a team to analyze the client’s technical environment in order to identify opportunities and recommend solutions. The selected person will actively participate in required tasks, activities, and the completion/development of associated deliverables. Responsibilities: Perform high level code review to understand and identify the best approach to modernizing the legacy code base, using the “7R” modernization strategy and guidelines as the high level framework for modernization guidance. Review high level architecture of legacy application architecture Leverage results from automated code analysis tools such as CAST, combined with targeted manual code reviews, to assess the code base’s: maintainability, use of standards, modularity, reliance on complicated anti-patterns, security issues, use of third party libraries, frameworks, and services, and other common legacy issues. Legacy code is based on: core workflow and processing uses SoftwareAG’s Natural/ADABAS, web-based services use Oracle Java and database. Requirements/Qualifications: Educational Requirements Bachelor’s Degree, from an accredited college/university, in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field and three (3) years of relevant work experience, or five (5) years of equivalent work experience.
