About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as an Employment Compliance Lead Team Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our efforts to ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies. You will oversee a team dedicated to upholding high standards of ethical conduct and legal compliance across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage a team of employment compliance specialists, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the effective execution of compliance initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training programs related to employment compliance, including but not limited to anti-discrimination, harassment prevention, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with employment laws and company policies, identify risk areas, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Investigate complaints or allegations of non-compliance with employment laws or company policies, ensuring thorough and impartial resolution of issues.
- Stay current on changes in employment laws and regulations, industry best practices, and emerging compliance issues, and communicate relevant updates to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in employment-related matters and compliance initiatives.
- Assess potential risks related to employment compliance issues and develop strategies to mitigate those risks, including implementing controls and monitoring mechanisms.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders on compliance efforts, highlighting areas of concern and making recommendations for improvement.
- Foster a culture of compliance within the organisation by promoting awareness of employee rights and responsibilities and encouraging ethical behaviour.
- Represent the company in interactions with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other external stakeholders on employment compliance matters.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- 5 years of experience in employment compliance, HR, legal, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of leadership and achievement.
- In-depth knowledge of global employment laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal requirements and apply them to practical situations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences and facilitate training sessions or presentations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience leading or supervising a team, with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Ethical integrity and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional conduct and compliance.
