Do you consider yourself to be a creative perfectionist? Are you the kind of person who checks, double-checks, and then triple-checks their work – just to be sure everything’s right – before it’s submitted? Is meeting deadlines every single time something you take pride in?
If you’re nodding in agreement, this could be the role for you.
Fordybed Media is a small, yet growing, company, looking for talented individuals to join our team. In particular, we’re looking to hire a blog production assistant with a keen eye for design to help us publish numerous articles every month across two of our main websites.
Previous experience of WordPress and Gutenberg is essential, and a basic understanding of both HTML and CSS would be advantageous. In addition, a good knowledge of the Google Docs Editors suite (especially Google Docs and Google Sheets) is required. On top of all this, our ideal candidate will also know their way around image editors such as Photoshop or Pixelmator Pro, as they will need to be able to create simple, yet beautiful graphics to make our posts “pop”.
As well as the technical side of things, our successful candidate needs to be comfortable performing repetitive tasks without allowing standards to drop. If you’re easily bored or hate repetition, this role probably isn’t a good fit for you.
Finally, the two sites you’ll be working on are pretty different in terms of their audiences. One is centred around veganism, while the other is about sewing. Ideally, you should have at least a basic understanding of both niches. Candidates who can demonstrate in-depth knowledge of either, or preferably both, will be looked upon favorably.
If you’ve gotten this far, you’re probably wondering what we’re able to offer the successful applicant. Well, alongside regular work each month and a competitive salary, you’ll also have the opportunity to hone valuable digital marketing skills along the way. We expect this role to evolve as time goes by, so there will be opportunities to progress and learn new things.
We have big plans for both sites, and we hope you come along for the ride. You’ll be working as part of a team pushing towards the same goal: publishing truly helpful and informative content that ultimately makes the Internet a better place.
