We have an exciting 6+ month contract opportunity in Dallas, TX, for two dynamic and experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developers to join a growing company’s digital transformation! Our client is the largest retail supplier in America within their niche, with over three decades of success and numerous awards for customer satisfaction. They fulfill thousands of orders daily from their 200,000 sqft warehouse in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and are poised for an exciting technological evolution.
Their technology team is on a mission to revolutionize their systems, converting their legacy PHP stack to Ruby on Rails using the Strangler pattern, and eventually migrating to the cloud. With a high-traffic eCommerce platform, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating closely with the Marketing department on a variety of projects.
Project scope:
– Leading the conversion of their legacy PHP stack to Ruby on Rails using the Strangler pattern
– Enhancing and maintaining their Elastic Search engine, API integrations, Fee Schedule, Caching Layer, Redis, RabbitMQ, and more
– Collaborating with the team to design and launch new features, driving the technology stack forward
– Implementing a more consistent Agile structure with the new QA automation engineer
What you’ll need:
– Proven experience in Ruby on Rails development
– Proficiency in Git
– Experience or understanding of Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Cloud technologies is a plus
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle complex technical challenges
Contract details:
– 6+ months duration
– This is a W2 contract and we cannot sponsor
– Hourly rate dependent on experience
– Hybrid work environment with in-office days only a few times a month in Dallas, TX
