This role will have significant short- and long-term strategic impact on the enterprise, as it supports: * Broader data strategy, including enterprise-wide business prioritization, and business & technology alignment, implementation pertaining to critical master data elements * MDM alignment & transformation programs * Enhanced customer experiences through innovation, operational insights, and improvements In this role, the Master Data Specialist will make an impact in the following ways: 1. Incumbent will serve as a communication liaison between IT technical team and business team for multiple key initiatives. 2. Serve as the primary point of contact for all data-related inquires. 3. Understand and document business processes to ensure that data is captured accurately and consistently. 4. Develop and maintain data quality control procedures. 5. Monitor data entry to identify and correct errors. 6. Perform regular audits of data to ensure accuracy. 7. Provide training on data management best practices to employees who utilize the systems. 8. Provide functional area input to long-term strategies for promoting data as a corporate asset for the company, aligned to the organizational plan to use information to advance the business mission and goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensures consistent MDM framework, release management, and change management processes are followed across various key initiatives. Plan, coordinate, execute and own data conversion activities including data design, data cleansing, data construction, data enrichment, data validation and defect resolution. Analyze and understand the existing set up of the master data elements in the corporate system landscape (SAP, BaaN, Infor, and Salesforce) and gather and specify the future requirements for the master data domain, considering the inputs of all process streams and understanding the up and downstream system impacts. Identify, socialize, and implement re-design opportunities for master data setup and utilization across various corporate systems aligned to the Enterprise standards and policies.
