JOB PURPOSE Supports and builds applications within the Finance domain. Responsible for supporting PeopleSoft Financials and other Financial applications contributing to the software design, development, and overall product lifecycle. Expected to pair on a daily basis as they work through user stories and support products/applications. May be involved in system installation & upgrades, product configuration, performance tuning and testing as well as production monitoring. RESPONSIBILITIES Software Development Develop existing software and contribute to development of new software by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop new software that is fast, secure and reliable to meet defined requirements. Software Maintenance Monitor, identify, and correct moderately complex software defects to maintain fully functioning software, with limited supervision from others. Technical Developments Recommendation Support efforts to research and suggest ways to optimize solutions to better meet user and/or business, performance, quality needs. Software Roadmap Maintain road map to facilitate software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements. Faults Diagnosis and Correction Find root cause and resolution to limit and address issues promptly. Functional/Technical Requirements Support collection of functional requirements using document analysis and workflow analysis to express requirements clearly and succinctly. Technical Persistence Layer/Legacy Database Design/Development Design database resources and provide physical modeling and design services to tune database solutions for optimum performance with some support from other teammates. Program/Portfolio Management Support Understand how to work within an established program management plan to achieve specific goals. Ongoing Learning and Development Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. SKILLS Experience working within and applying customizations in PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 AP, GL, PO, AM, Travel and Expense, eSettlements modules Experience with PeopleSoft administration re DPK service installation to spin up environments (web, application, batch), Integration Broker, Oracle CPU patching SQL experience working with RDBMS; preference Oracle Familiar with PL/SQL Experience writing batch scripts for Windows (DOS, PowerShell) or Linux Exposure to query optimization and troubleshooting Exposure to windows and linux service maintenance Exposure to Enterprise Level scheduling software Familiarity or interest in C#/.NET core QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level preferred General Experience: Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years) Managerial Experience: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months) #LI-JN1 Targeted Pay Range: $76,500 – $124,600. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
