The Campus Solutions Sr. Software Architect is a technical leader that designs and builds solutions specific for the UM PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application.
Main job responsibilities will include:
- Architecting technical solutions for the Student Information system, including gathering requirements and developing technical specifications.
- Developing integrations and customizations, including some complex programming at a senior level.
- Conducting retrofit analysis during CPU and application upgrades.
- Addressing complex production issues.
- Providing production support as necessary.
- Ensuring the quality of deliverables by conducting unit testing and supporting system testing.
- Mentoring junior PeopleSoft developers as needed.
Skills required for this position include:
- Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions at a senior level.
- Development experience in PeopleSoft, including Application Packages, Application Engine, SQR, Application Designer, Integration Broker, Web Services (REST and SOAP), PeopleCode, Security, and PeopleTools 8.56+.
- Ability to evaluate existing PeopleSoft customizations/integrations, make recommendations, and implement as needed.
- Knowledgeable about the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions data model.
- Experience with relational databases, including proficiency with Oracle SQL.
- Work collaboratively with the functional team and others to formalize PeopleSoft solutions for enhancements and troubleshoot PeopleSoft production issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience and knowledge in systems analysis, application administration, testing, and implementation of complex systems.
- Self-motivated with a high commitment to excellence, cooperation, and team achievement.
- Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate across technical and functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills.
- Experience with JavaScript and CSS is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in relevant field.
- Minimum 8 years of PeopleSoft technical developer experience, which includes a minimum of 5 years of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
PeopleSoft Campus Solutions technical developer expertise:
- Senior-level experience with the PeopleSoft Application Designer toolset (App Engine, App Packages, Integration Broker, Component Interface, PeopleCode, Page/Component).
- Architecting technical solutions for the Student Information system, including gathering requirements and developing technical specifications.
- Developing integrations and customizations, including some complex programming at a senior level.
- Conducting retrofit analysis during CPU and application upgrades.
- Addressing complex production issues.
- Providing production support as necessary.
