Day to Day:
We are seeking a results-oriented Database Engineer to join our team and contribute to the optimization of our organization’s databases. As a Database Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing existing database programs, designing new database solutions, and ensuring efficient data storage. The ideal candidate will have in depth experience with database management and a passion for data optimization!
Responsibilities:
•Maintain and Enhance Existing Database Programs:
o Collaborate with database development teams to improve the performance of existing database systems.
o Troubleshoot and resolve database functionality issues.
•Design New Database Programs:
o Work closely with development teams to design and implement new database solutions that meet the organization’s data storage needs.
•Monitor Database Performance:
o Regularly monitor databases and related systems to ensure optimized performance.
•Increase Data Storage Capacity:
o Write new support programs and scripts to enhance data storage capacity.
•Review Database and User Reports:
o Analyze database performance reports and user feedback.
•Debugging and Conflict Resolution:
o Perform debugging procedures on database scripts and programs.
o Resolve conflicts related to database functionality.
•Data Security and Documentation:
o Adhere to best practices for securely storing, backing up, and archiving data.
o Document processes related to database design, configuration, and performance.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
* 2-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer
* Building out databases data schemas
* How to convert from a data source from a database
* Data analysis
* Writing SQL queries
* Data integration development exp. – exp. Writing data pipelines (ceate database scema)
* Consolidating different data sources
* In depth knowledge of SQL query language (SQL Server preferred)
* In depth knowledge of database security
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:

Power BI knowledge/ exposure
