Seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in managed services to join our Network Engineering team, assisting the organization to deliver a superior customer experience. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network services. The incumbent will regularly interface with external service providers and customers to perform advanced network design, troubleshooting, and engineering. Our organization is a managed solutions provider that operates many diverse and vendor agnostic networks. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for quickly understanding and operating on these networks, using existing documentation and independent discovery of environments. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Guide and support our customers, to build and maintain high performance network infrastructure Provide expertise in network-based technologies, supporting our national managed services network Serve as an escalation point for advanced network troubleshooting and support Act as a mentor and leader to our engineering and operations teams Perform design work that incorporates industry best practices for hospitality and enterprise networks Function as a technical lead for projects requiring network technologies Ensure that security improvements are successfully implemented and monitored Coordinate proper installation, configuration, and testing of network components Assist in developing and maintaining hardware life cycle management methodologies Create and maintain documentation to support the implementation and management of network technologies Contribute to the company’s technology roadmap development Collaborate with architecture and technology leadership to ensure that designs are in line with the needs of the current and future requirements from our customers, network platforms, and security compliance Engage and manage external vendors, as needed, to enhance the team’s capabilities Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned This position participates in an on-call rotation and may provide support off hours as required This position may require up to 30% travel Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 8+ years’ experience implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining network systems Demonstrated extensive knowledge working with networking protocols and standards (e.g., OSPF, BGP, IPSEC, TCP/IP, MPLS, STP, SVI, VLAN, etc.) Strong technical, leadership, and communication skills Demonstrate the ability to lead complex projects in a cross functional team environment Demonstrate the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to independently lift and carry 35 lbs. Qualifications, Experience and Education: Required – Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent technical experience (5-years) Required – Experience with at least two of the following products or platforms: Adtran, Arista, Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, MikroTik, Palo Alto, Ruckus, and Ubiquiti Preferred – Experience in hospitality or service provider networks Preferred – Industry relevant certifications – e.g., Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCIE, Aruba ACMP, etc.
