This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S. Upon hire, this position does require a full CJIS Background Check and Fingerprinting as a part of the onboarding process. The Network Security Engineer’s (NSE) primary role is to build, implement, maintain, and support firewalls and other network devices. The NSE works with team members and system support personnel with issues related to connectivity and policy administration. Secondary responsibilities include configuring, maintaining, and supporting local and wide area network hardware and communication links. Individual will also troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyze network traffic. How you’ll make an impact Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks. Install, configure and troubleshoot network hardware and equipment. Administration of Firewalls (policy configurations, monitoring, software updates and auditing), load balancers and DNS/DHCP. Install, configure and troubleshoot additional network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, load balancers etc. Plan, design and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure components. Perform in depth analysis utilizing logs, packet captures and monitoring tools for root cause analysis of critical events. Monitor and report on compliance with security policies. Conduct research on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. Maintain policies for asset management; including maintenance of component inventory, hardware lifecycle, software releases and run books. Maintain connectivity and uptime service level agreements. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management. What we’re hiring for 5+ years working as a Network Engineer and; 5+ years of firewall administration Expert knowledge of Firewall technologies; Cisco, Checkpoint Experience with load balancing technologies such as F5, NetScaler, etc. Experienced in using In-depth protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark Ability to analyze device and traffic logs, extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and firewall Additional skills in network engineering are desirable; routing, switching, etc.
