*This position is primarily remote, with some in-office work throughout the state of Colorado (3 days per month)
JOB SUMMARY: The Network Engineer II will be installing, maintaining and evaluating network systems and communications. You will be assisting in the network architecture design implementation & configuration of network infrastructures and will be working with routers, switches, firewalls, etc. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving network issues and will likely be working independently. Some on-site work will be required at various sites throughout the state of Colorado, including potential overnight stays (covered by Zivaro) up to 3 days per month. Use of your own vehicle will be required, mileage will be reimbursed and per diem provided when applicable. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Installing, configuring & maintaining computer network equipment Designing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise technologies Working with a designated tech writer in developing documentation for existing networks and maintaining documentation for all new networks and changes Analyzing and maintaining load balancing, firewall and security products under the network umbrella Administering routers, switches, and firewalls QUALIFICATIONS: 3-5+ years demonstrated network engineering experience Palo Alto Networking experience Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within a month of start EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS Engineering, Computer Science, or Math); or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions at Zivaro, due to security clearance and government/federal contracts held by Zivaro.
