Senior Data Scientist (Analytics) – REMOTE
Location: Remote within the United States with a preference for West Coast (Pacific time)
An industry leader in leveraging Big Data analytics to enhance transportation decision-making is seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in designing innovative algorithms and implementing advanced data science solutions to address complex transportation challenges. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate with a diverse team passionate about leveraging data to drive meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:
– Design algorithms to extract valuable transportation insights from diverse data sources.
– Research and implement effective strategies, including machine learning models and regression analysis, to solve data science problems.
– Curate and prepare real-world datasets for model training and validation purposes.
– Collaborate with the Application Engineering team to integrate data science algorithms into the analytics platform.
– Develop compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
– Customize solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable university. A PhD with a focus on quantitative research is also acceptable.
– 3-5 years of experience in data science or statistics, with proficiency in Python.
– Strong background in SQL and relational databases (experience with BigQuery or PostgreSQL preferred).
– Deep understanding of data science techniques and methodologies.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to deliver results on deadline and collaborate effectively within a team.
– Quick learner with a passion for continuous growth.
