Due to growth, we are adding this Manager, Information Technology to our Information Technology department.

We are unable to offer remote work to residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

The Manager, Information Technology ensures the streamlined operation of the Lumicera IT team in alignment with the customer-focused objectives and the IT Vision, a collaborative partner delivering innovative ideas, solutions, and services to simplify peoples lives. This individual will plan, design, coordinate and align resources to support the daily activities of the team. The manager will work closely with customers and decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, support, and improve the customer-focused solutions.

How do I make an impact on my team?

  • Manage and mentor the software development team members.
  • Provide insight, feedback, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Organize, plan, and align resources based on customer priorities.
  • Influence others to deliver results in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide solution and technical architecture decisions and recommendations for application and infrastructure enhancements and modernization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, understand use cases, and build toward a cohesive technical strategy.
  • Manage staffing, including recruitment, supervision, performance management, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Work with architects, product owners, and experience designers towards a shared vision and contribute to product roadmaps and business strategies.
  • Make decisions, delegate, and remove barriers enabling the team to deliver.
  • Participate in strategic and operational planning.
  • Oversight of some or all of the following roles: Software Engineers, Programmer Analysts, and Application System Administrators.
  • On-call availability, and some travel required.

What our team expects from you?

  • College degree (2- or 4-year program) typically in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering, and 6+ years of pharmacy, PBM or health care experience preferred.
  • 7+ years of software development experience, with a deep understanding of application development and Technical Architecture. .NET background required (Note: while this role will not be hands on coding, a coding background is required)
  • 5+ years of software development project management experience in an Agile environment.
  • Hands on experience and accountability architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering large scale distributed systems and/or applications for the cloud, including event/API architectures.
  • Experience and knowledge in developing events-based integrations tooling for documentation, versioning, service discovery/registration, testing and management; experience using API gateways a plus.
  • Previous experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/PCF etc.) preferred.
  • Leadership of a multi-disciplinary team is strongly preferred.
  • Professional PBM industry work experience preferred
  • Experience working in onshore/offshore development model.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws is preferred.
  • Healthcare industry practices and HIPAA knowledge would be a plus.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
