Responsibilities:
The Enterprise Technology P&C Auto/Fire Data Consumption team is seeking an initiative-taking, data led individual to join the team as a Data Engineer. As a new team member you will join a highly collaborative team to deliver on P&C business partern data consumption needs. You will be challenged in your daily work and empowered to grow professionally. We appreciate your interest in this opportunity.
- Utilized industry-adopted languages and frameworks in coding, testing, security, DevOps, DataOps and data engineering practices.
- Develops and maintains reusable, scalable, and compliant data solutions across multiple platforms and compute environments.
- Maintains and continues to develop breadth of knowledge in programming (e.g., Python, Scala) and database and data storage functionality (e.g., SQL, Redshift) and applies that understanding to build reuseable data solutions.
- Familiar with handling datasets containing structured and unstructured data.
- Exhibits DataOps mindset where team is accountable for ensuring data aligns to enterprise needs and leveraging automation to deliver quality data solutions.
- Collects and analyzes information to identify customers technical needs and suggests solutions.
- Skilled and continues to develop a breadth of knowledge in data engineering topics, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data integration, reusable data pipelines and data management.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work with multiple, diverse business partners to understand and implement new data solutions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in an agile development environment.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience in a business environment
- Proficiency with programming languages: python and scala
- AWS: ETL (Glue), Serverless (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge); Storage Solutions (S3, Redshift)
- Terraform
- CI/CD Automated testing and scans
- Data Access: SQL, Athena
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or work equivalent
- AWS Practitioner certification, all others, a plus.

Salary Range: $99,660 – $156,200
For California, New York, and CT candidates:
Potential salary range: $113,250 – $177,500
Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary.
