All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship. Position Overview Riverside Research is seeking a proactive, self-motivated Android Research Engineer ready for new challenges. A track record of completing complex solutions within the OEM industry by working with the R&D and product teams will be critical to your success, along with a proven ability to comprehend the entire ecosystem to quickly pinpoint where solutions on connected devices fit within the broader strategy of the customer. Some travel will be required to meet the obligations of the integrated engineering teams in support of programs. US Citizenship is required for this position. This position is remote. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related. Minimum 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s or 3 years with a Masters Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. Familiar with DoD android mobile development. This is NOT a position for Android application-level development. Embedded software developer with strong background in Android system internals and customization, with experience in building Android for smartphone platforms. Experience with embedded/C/C++ Expertise in building and modifying AOSP and Android kernels required. Experience with Android interface layers for graphics, sounds, and touch. Proficiency with the Android build system, git, and repo tools. Experience in configuration management of custom Android baselines. Position will require technical leadership and contribution to multiple hypervisor-based projects on multiple processor architectures, including ARM, RISC-V, and Intel. Demonstrated record of innovative problem solving and self-direction. Perform well in tightly integrated teams working alongside engineers from partner and customer organizations. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Cuttlefish and CAF Android source trees highly desired. Intimate knowledge of the Android stack and software architecture layers, to include experience with Treble and the HAL layers. Proficiency with the Android build system, git, and repo tools. Demonstrates experience and in-depth knowledge of Exploit Development Global Comp $96,000 to $150,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
