AWS Cloud Architect- Network and Security Locations: Anywhere in United States (remote) Overview : We are looking for AWS Cloud Architect for an immediate need. This is a remote position, and the candidate will have regular interactions with various client leaders. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Experience Designing and implementing scalable AWS solutions using services such as EC2, ECS, VPC(s), Zone(s) and spinning up AMI’s using CloudFormation scripts.
- Configuring and managing network layers, including load balancers such as ELB and ALB. End to end understanding of how the traffic flows from End user(s) browser to the Host servers via Cloudflare and load balancers to the Origin servers.
- Sound understanding of SSL/TLS encryption process.
- Strong Understanding of DMZ architecture with DMZ architecture with layered segmentation and designing AWS environments using that.
- Understanding and implementing security best practices, including IAM access controls and other AWS security services.
- Good Understanding of Azure Pipeline and CI/CD integration to AWS Infrastructure.
- Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to understand their business requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.
- Providing technical guidance and support to clients and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Keeping up to date with the latest AWS technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Recommending improvements to existing AWS solutions and architectures to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensuring that AWS solutions are implemented following industry best practices and meet the Clients security and compliance standards.
Qualifications –
- Excel in this role, the AWS Architect should have a deep understanding of AWS services and architecture, as well as hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions using DMZ Architecture, AWS EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, and other related services.
- Should also have expertise in configuring and managing network layers, load balancers, and implementing security controls. Sound knowledge of Cloudflare, an industry-leading cloud security and performance platform, is also valuable.
- Strong have strong communication and collaboration skills, are essential for effectively working with clients and stakeholders, as well as for providing technical guidance and support to team members.
- Additionally, the ability to stay updated with the latest AWS technologies and trends and continuously improve existing solutions is crucial for success in this role.
- AWS Network or Security certification preferred.
Mandatory & Desired Skills
- A minimum of 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4+ years in AWS
- Strong understanding of AWS foundation – VPC, Compute, Storage, Network & Security
- Ability to provision infrastructure using Cloud Formation or Terraform
- Strong Administration skills in Linux and/or Windows
- Hands on knowledge of Python or PowerShell or Node.JS
- Hands on knowledge writing custom scripts for logging & monitoring.
- Expertise in patching management, troubleshooting in Windows and Linux
- Knowledge of Chef or Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, GIT, CI/CD pipeline is added plus.
The applications will be accepted until 6/24/24 Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is [$118,200 to $142,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
