This is a remote position. We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to be a key contributor to help drive and support the company’s long-term strategic initiatives as the company migrates to AWS. The company is based in Princeton NJ, however this position is 100% remote. Responsibilities Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to deploy software releases and updates; identify and implement improvements to that process Work with developers to optimize code to take full advantage of the efficiencies of cloud computing Setup of application performance monitoring and alerting dashboards with the respective toolset, as well as automated health check of applications and services Support and troubleshoot technical problems, incident management and provide root cause analysis On-prem to cloud infrastructure migration planning, provisioning, and configuration, along with maintenance and updates as needed Setup and maintain source code management tools, repositories, workflows, pipelines, and process automation with the applicable DevOps toolset Implement and enforce security policies and procedures Design, deploy, automate, maintain, and manage AWS Environments / Services Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to manage AWS resources Ensure AWS systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and compliant Resolve problems across multiple application domains and platforms using system troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques Automate different operational processes by designing, maintaining, and managing tools (Such as Terraform) Provide primary operational support and engineering for all Cloud and Enterprise deployments Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for IAC and CI/CD that teams can follow Review AWS billing and assess cost optimization options on a regular basis Work closely with the development team to integrate their project changes and ensure that project deliverables are achieved effectively Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation Leverage GitHub for version control and source code management Perform code reviews, suggest ways to improve efficiencies Qualifications Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, etc. Experience working with APIs Extensive AWS experience and follows a well-architected model approach Strong experience in using Terraform for infrastructure automation Expertise in open-source technologies, containerization (e.g., Docker), microservices, and relational databases. Strong experience with automation and configuration management tools, such as Jenkins and Ansible Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, and Shell scripting Problem-solving attitude with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mentality. Development and testing skills Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) Experience working with version control systems (e.g. GitHub) This is a full time direct hire position.
