Position Summary:
The Azure DevOps Engineer position is part of the Cognitive professional services team supporting the DoD Defense Health Agency TRICARE Fifth Generation Contract (“T-5”) supporting TriWest Healthcare Alliance.
The primary role will be to support the development, migration, and integration of complex software systems to the Microsoft Azure Government Computing Cloud.
The Azure DevOps Engineer will:
Setup, manage, and maintain the continuous build/continuous integration infrastructure used by the application, ensuring conformance to all applicable security standards. Partner with engineering and product managers to ensure business and security requirements are supported by corresponding technical requirements and infrastructure. Present key metrics and measures in a graphical dashboard to keep teams focused on what needs their attention and to promote transparency. Routinely stress test systems to expose weakness in both infrastructure and applications.
Duties:
Support an Agile, Lean, SAFe-based environment utilizing DevSecOps, ARTs, CI/CD, and related processes, methodologies, and concepts. Ensure optimal use of Source Control Management tools like Git. Create, maintain, and manage fully automated CI/CD processes for multiple environments using Azure DevOps Collaborate on policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD, QA and software development. Train and support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies. Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production. Manage and maintain the security infrastructure required for deploying secure, scalable and reliable applications, while routinely conducting preventive and adaptive maintenance to increase security, performance, and reliability. Leverage tools such as: Microsoft Azure API Libraries, .Net C#,, CI/CD automation scripts.
Requirements:
MSSQL Azure DevOps and Pipelines Azure DevOps Git Repos Management Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code (VS Code) Middleware: Application and Web Server Software Microsoft Windows Server Operating System Required Education, Experience, and Clearance: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required. Microsoft Azure Certifications like DevOps Engineer is a plus. 5 years minimum experience in a similar role/capacity. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. Ability to obtain a Government Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI). Microsoft environments and supporting production enterprise applications. Experience writing Powershell scripts to deploy code. Experience developing ARM Templates and/or Bicep files to deploy Azure resources. Experience with cloud deployments and cluster resource management with VAEC GovCloud including monitoring systems, logging, and security implementation. Experience of software development processes and code management tools and processes. Knowledge of DevOps Engineering Processes and Operations & Management (O&M). Ability to conduct in-depth triage, troubleshooting, and forensics across all facets of the cloud stack while executing process corrective action and continual service improvement.
