Position: Business Development Associate

Location: Remote (Office location is Fairfax, VA) / Candidate must reside in Washington D.C., Maryland or Virginia or willing to relocate.

Overview:
The Business Development Associate will work closely with the Business Development team and other industry and government partners to identify new business opportunities for an organization by increasing its revenue, finding and developing new business opportunities and expanding the brand. The Business Development Associate will assist the Director of Business Development by identifying qualified leads for the company to pursue. The incumbent will be able to identify, qualify, advocate, and track leads. Must be adept at quickly understanding what is required to win, developing compelling value propositions, and preparing strong business cases for leadership. Candidate must be comfortable with briefing at the executive level, establishing NDAs, working with GSC, teaming, and sourcing.
Responsibilities:
• Identify trends and client needs to develop new business opportunities.
• Create marketing plans to promote the products and services of the organization
• Assist with creating clear, concise, and actionable briefings to the Kreative Technologies leadership team
• Help direct sales activities, establish accurate plans and forecasts, prioritize efforts, building pipelines, executing each phase of the sales process, and drive short-term and long-term results to maximize overall territory growth objectives
• Coordinate appointments, calls and meetings between senior management and customers for discussing new opportunities and for business expansions
• Conduct meetings with internal teams and customers to discuss project development and delivery stages
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, partners, and competitors; develop proactive strategies to maintain a competitive edge
• Help meet key performance indicators (KPI)
• Assist with organizing training plans to address any gaps within the organization regarding new opportunities.
• Plan, measure and communicate progress towards the plan, identify roadblocks, and come up with appropriate resolutions.
• Plan and execute account strategy by segment and geography, create and present business plans, set milestones, measure performance and be accountable for results to executive management.
Education/Skills/ Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of proven Business Development experience in a Government Contracting atmosphere.
• Resides in Washington D.C., Maryland or Virginia or willing to relocate.
• Knowledge, experience and understanding of the U.S. Federal Government landscape including FAR, Business Development, Capture, and Proposal processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with companies in Federal Information Technology, Software Development or Health Information Systems highly preferred
