Computer scientist (f/m/d) with a focus on application development or system administration up to pay group 11 TV-L (depending on personal qualifications)

with full working hours (39.2 h/week), open-ended

The services provided by central IT include infrastructure components, IT applications and digital services for teaching, studies, research and administration as well as service desk/support, information security management and IT project management.

We are looking for you for the following tasks in the future “Application Management” area:

  • You will take on project work in interdisciplinary teams
  • You will configure, manage and maintain central server systems and customize application systems (currently mainly CampusNet NT, FlexNow and web user interfaces for SAP)
  • You will administer the relevant database management systems and data interfaces and ensure their further development and adaptation
  • You will support and advise users on requirements management and the use of IT services based on our IT portfolio
  • You are the point of contact for internal users and ensure the quality of the services you support

The position is located in Department 5 until it is assigned to the newly created “Application Management” department.

What you bring to the table:

  • A university degree (FH diploma/bachelor’s degree) in the field of information technology, or training as an IT specialist (f/m/d) with many years of professional experience or comparable qualifications and knowledge – your classification will be checked on this basis and your tasks adjusted according to the pay group if necessary.
  • Experience with the administration of Windows and Linux servers and virtualization environments
  • Experience with database management systems and application systems, preferably in a university environment
  • Experience with software interfaces and current middleware systems; experience with docker systems would also be desirable
  • Knowledge of security architectures and monitoring systems
  • Relevant knowledge of IT project management
  • Knowledge of English (A2)
  • German language skills (B2)
