The “Statistical Information Management, Mathematical Methods” department is responsible for the development, use and maintenance of IT-supported processes,
mathematical-statistical methods and services for various central divisions of the Deutsche Bundesbank

- You will drive the continuous expansion of the bank-wide innovative big data platform with state-of-the-art cloud technologies and thus increase the Bundesbank’s analytical capabilities across the organization.
- Your experience in data modeling will help you to evaluate the requirements of bank-wide users and design solutions.
- You design solutions for data transformation routes within our central analysis platform and implement them within a well-established DevOps team.
- You support the team in setting up and implementing new, efficient DevOps processes
- You focus on the use of future-oriented cloud technologies.
- In your work, you will coordinate closely with customers, architects, the IT department and other stakeholders.
Special values: Your qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in (business) informatics, (business) mathematics, data science or a comparable field of study
- Knowledge of agile software development methods as well as IT project management and requirements management
- Knowledge and ideally experience in data modeling and different approaches to data architectures
- Broad, in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies in the field of big data engineering (e.g. storage, Apache Spark, Databricks, Kafka)
- Sound knowledge of relevant programming languages (e.g. Scala, Java, PL SQL) and CI/CD
- Ideally experience in engineering data & analytics solutions
- Knowledge and experience with Terraform is desirable
- Strong ability to analyze complex structures and present them in a user-oriented manner paired with strong communication skills, high initiative and innovation orientation
- Very good German and good written and spoken English skills
