We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst 2 to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data analysis, with expertise in SQL and data visualization tools. This role will involve managing and analyzing large datasets, developing insightful dashboards, and ensuring that data-driven insights are accessible to key stakeholders across the organization. The Data Analyst 2 will play a crucial role in supporting our data-driven decision-making processes and contributing to the company’s strategic growth. Primary Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize advanced SQL skills to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from various sources Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards to provide insights and reporting Develop and implement data models and queries in SQL to support comprehensive data analysis Data Management: Integrate and manage data from multiple sources, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility Maintain and optimize the data warehouse environment, ensuring it meets the company’s evolving needs Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance Business Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, operations, and IT, to understand their data needs and deliver tailored insights Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure seamless execution of data projects Provide training and support to business users on how to leverage data and analytics tools effectively Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data processes, analytics capabilities, and reporting efficiency Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics, BI tools, and data management Lead and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing the company’s analytics infrastructure and capabilities You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in a data analytics or similar role 3+ years of experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining Power BI or Tableau dashboards Preferred Qualifications: Fintech data experience Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for advanced data analysis Familiarity with Azure and big data technologies Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize them for performance Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail Proven solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
