The Role As a Data Analyst, Payments at Ottimate, you won’t just be crunching numbers; you’ll play a pivotal role in providing strategic insights and support to drive payments revenue growth. Your keen analytical skills will help shape the payments program and offerings at Ottimate, enabling businesses to pay and get paid faster. Whether you’re collaborating with various departments, analyzing payments data, or contributing to Ottimate’s growth, you’ll be a key player in the payments planning and analysis process.What Sets You Apart Data Enthusiast: You have a passion for data analysis and are ready to make a meaningful impact. Tech Curiosity: You’re very comfortable with Excel and have a strong interest in learning tools like SQL, Power Query, Tableau, or similar. Storytelling Expert: You’re eager to learn the art of connecting results and key metrics, providing a concise yet detailed explanation of performance. Collaboration Guru: You’re ready to partner with key stakeholders, aligning on business priorities and contributing to compelling arguments based on facts and data. What You’ll Do Produce and distribute recurring and ad hoc payments reports, ensuring accuracy Assist in presentation preparation of payments results, forecasts, and plans for payments expansion and monetization Provide deep data analysis to solve complex problems within payments and manage key performance indicators Collaborate with multiple departments to analyze data for strategic decision-making as it relates to the growth of payments Provide actionable data and insights to support payments operations Consult on payments database needs and adjustments to ensure data quality standards are met and scalable Present to the payments team analytical findings and recommend improvements Assist in developing growth and margin improvement strategies within payments Collaborate on strategic payments initiatives such as developing KPIs, product enhancements, and process improvements Ensure compliance with departmental operations, policies, and practices What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or progress toward an MBA is advantageous 3+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL, Power Query, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus Experience with Salesforce is a plus Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Strong presentation skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Willing to get together in person weekly in Massachusetts as set by the GM, Payments What We Value At Ottimate (formerly Plate IQ), we value a growth mindset and seek high-performing, creative individuals who dig into problems and see the opportunities for success.
