About the Role:
The Data Infrastructure Engineering team’s mission is to enable product teams to deliver their goals by equipping them with a robust platform and expected data quality and cadency.
Our goal is to provide platform based solutions that are convenient to use by partner teams.
As a Data Infrastructure Engineer – Data Platform, you’ll work on technical problems including designing and developing data platforms focused on streaming and batch processing, involving other data related technologies. That also means working closely with other teams to establish data interfaces and contracts.
Technology we use is AWS, including third-party tools.
You will report directly to the Cracow-based Engineering Manager.
You Will:
- Design, develop and maintain large-scale data infrastructure and platform solutions for streaming and batch processing
- Partner with engineers across teams to determine and implement features which bring most value to our customers
- Work in a ‘you build it, you run it’ environment, where you hold responsibility, including on-calls
You Have:
- ABS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of experience as a software developer
- Experience designing, building and maintaining data infrastructure in streaming and batch processing
- Strong understanding data concepts and processes, especially in distributed environments
- Ability to collaborate and work with engineers and product managers
- Experience in storage technologies like Amazon S3 or GCP Cloud Storage
- Experience in a programming language and version control systems like Python, Scala, Go, Github
- Proficiency in database environments, rdbms, column-oriented dbms, distributed dbms
- Experience in big data systems like Hadoop, EMR, Bigquery, Athena, AWS Redshift/Spectrum, AWS Glue, AWS Kinesis, SNS/SQS
- Nice to have if familiar with Kubernetes or Docker
