DevOps Engineer – REMOTE at Highmark Health in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Company : HM Health Solutions Job Description : JOB SUMMARY This job is responsible for supporting internal development and operations; troubleshoot issues with tools, build and release processes, and configuration. The incumbent delivers, maintains, and improves a platform as a service (PaaS) offering, including the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) toolchain. The incumbent will be assigned to support strategic projects from time to time. The majority of this work is PEGA related. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES + Implement, and Support Platform deployment operations (e.g., VM orchestration, Kubernetes, PaaS, function PaaS [fPaaS] and container as a service [CaaS] platforms) + Support efforts to architect and deploy continuous integration pipelines + Coordinate with cloud vendor(s) and infrastructure, engineering team for security and service availability + Troubleshoot complex production issues, including outages, performance and function issues + Support the CI/CD processes and DevOps tools to deploy and configure production systems + Assist in Migrating CI/CD pipelines from on-prem data center into a cloud solution + Implement cross tool integrations + Consult with application owners to optimize builds, including high availability, automatic failover,memory and compute adjustments for optimized performance + Develop and maintain confluence documentation for tools + Other duties as assigned or requested. QUALIFICATIONS Required + Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field or 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu + 3 years in Software Engineering or Development1 year with Agile Project Management, and DevSecOps Foundations + Strong knowledge of the differences, benefits, and costs of virtualized compute deployment strategies (virtual machines, containers, and serverless environments.) + Experience with application release orchestration platforms enabling continuous integration/continuous (CI/CD) pipelines Preferred + 3+ years PEGA development highly preferred + 1+ year PEGA administration helpful + Experience with PEGA Deployment Manager tool ideal Certifications Preferred + PEGA certified System Architect critical + Gitlab/Github Certifications helpful + Cloud/DevOps Certifications (GCP, Microsoft, etc.) helpful SKILLS + Knowledge of modern programming languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Scala, .NET, C#, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc) To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
