Position Summary: Thermo Fisher is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as Digital Product Specialist II, Marketing Technology. As a Product Specialist, you will responsibilities will include developing the design, build, and validation of new product capabilities for the Thermo Fisher Scientific enterprise Martech platform. Your primary focus will be on writing requirements, collaborating with the IT team for development, and conducting user acceptance testing to ensure that the product meets the specified requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of Marketing and Digital technology knowledge, as well as strong requirements elicitation and interpersonal skills. The Product Manager Specialist will act as the voice of the customer in articulating and prioritizing desired functionality with a deep understanding of the Customer needs.

- Strategic Leadership and Planning – Participate in the development of the Marketing technology Strategy and roadmap. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to inform product strategy and roadmap.
- Product Definition – Write clear and comprehensive product requirements, ensuring they are aligned with business goals and technical feasibility.
- Delivery – Work closely with the IT team to facilitate the development process, providing guidance and clarifications as needed.
- Acceptance – Conduct thorough user acceptance testing to validate that the developed product meets the defined requirements and is user-friendly.
- Product Demonstrations – Provide demonstrations of new functionality to business users, showcasing the value and benefits of the product.
- Marketing Insights – Define and delivery capabilities to deploy insights to inform sales of what prospects and customers need based on their sales and marketing engagement
- Customer Data Privacy – Responsible for ensuring compliance of global data privacy laws within the new capabilities enabled within the Martech platform
- Measurement – Define and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and impact of MarTech initiatives and provide regular reports and insights to functional leaders.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize product features and functionality.
- Works with cross-divisional teams to ensure on time and quality delivery of initiatives by balancing the business needs versus technical constraints, and raising issues and risks to drive solutions as necessary
- Coordinates among internal functional team to ensure alignment of objectives with company goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years related experience (Digital technology, Marketing technology, or Business Analyst)
- Strong technical background with a proven understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise requirements.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet timelines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles and standard processes.
- Ability to confidently provide demonstrations of new product functionality to business users.
- A passion for technology and a desire to stay updated with the latest industry trends.
- Ability to develop and present communications, communicating the desired message, at the appropriate level, for the right recipient
