Position: Director of Business Development

Location: Remote (Office location is Fairfax, VA)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Overview:
The Director of Business Development will work closely with Kreative Technologies’ leadership team and other industry and government partners to run all aspects of their assigned pursuits. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with proven experience in identifying new business opportunities for an organization by growing its revenue, finding and developing new business opportunities and expanding the brand. The Director of Business Development will identify a portfolio of qualified leads for the company to pursue. The incumbent will identify, qualify, advocate, and track leads. Must be adept at quickly understanding what is required to win, developing compelling value propositions, and preparing strong business cases to leadership. Must have proven strong team leadership skills and writing abilities. Candidate must be comfortable with briefing at the executive level and establishing NDAs, working with GSC, teaming, and sourcing.

Responsibilities:
• Identify trends and client needs to develop new business opportunities.

• Work alongside the Capture Managers to develop capture strategy and tactics to produce capture products such as competitive assessments, teaming strategies, and prices-to-win analysis results applied to improve competitive posture.

• Assist with the capture process by coordinating and collaborating with line of business management, strategy, business and finance, contracts and global supply chain, technology and engineering offices and functions.

• Provide clear, concise, and actionable briefings to the Kreative Technologies leadership team.

• Lead, inspire, empower, coach, and motivate the Business Development team.

• Help direct sales activities, set expectations, provide guidance, establish accurate plans and forecasts, prioritize efforts, hold the team accountable for building pipelines, executing each phase of the sales process, and drive short-term and long-term results to maximize overall territory growth objectives.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, partners, and competitors; develop proactive strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPI) for sales team

• Build high-performing teams, close business, build consensus, resolve conflict, solve tough

business problems, roll-up sleeves and drive revenue.

• Organize training plans to address any gaps within the organization regarding new opportunities.

• Plan, measure and communicate progress towards the plan, identify roadblocks, and come up with appropriate resolutions.

• Plan and execute account strategy by segment and geography, create and present business plans, set milestones, measure performance and be accountable for results to executive management.

Education/Skills/ Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• 4+ years of proven Business Development experience in a Government Contracting atmosphere.

• Knowledge, experience and understanding of the U.S. Federal Government landscape including FAR, Business Development, Capture, and Proposal processes.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills & exceptional leadership skills.

• Experience working with companies in Federal Information Technology, Software Development or Health Information Systems highly preferred.

• Experience working with U.S. Army, U.S.A.F., DISA, HHS, DoD, DHA, and other federal agencies highly desired.
