The work can be managed remotely – with time-to-time office presence depending on the team’s agreement and the demand of the respective professional area – from any location in Hungary. In case of some company events, office attendance is expected from the colleagues. Technical conditions for working from home are fully in place.

Job Description

Our company is hiring an IT Hardware Asset Manager to build, develop and own IT Hardware Asset Management Operational Processes for IT assets at KOSTAL Group globally.

Main tasks, roles and responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the CMDB application from a procedural and functional point of view including continuous improvement over its entire lifecycle.
  • Understand the functionality of the CMDB application.
  • Report and participate in resolution of Incidents, Problems, and Changes that impact the CMDB application.
  • Ensure that the functional specifications requested by the business owners are implemented correctly.
  • Responsible for all processes related to the CMDB (import, export, change, synchronization).
  • Responsible for CMDB data quality.
  • Establish, maintain and monitor hardware inventory database to ensure compliance.
  • Close collaboration with Workplace Management to ensure that all hardware assets are properly configured and deployed, including image creation and deployment, asset tagging, and tracking.
  • Monitor hardware utilization and make recommendations on efficiency improvement.
  • Coordination of all technical service providers required for CMDB application delivery, including the management of agreed service levels (e.g., application availability, resolution of technical and functional issues, involvement of external/OEM support as necessary).
  • Coordinates the implementation of the role and authorization concept according to KOSTAL’s specifications.
  • Triggers and contributes to regular physical inventories/audits to assure data quality.
  • Works together with service management functions and other related teams of the organization.
  • Contributes to technology refresh.
  • Responsible for reporting on potential security gaps related to the CMDB.
  • Provide regular reports to management on the status of IT hardware assets, including inventory, usage, and budget.

Qualifications

Experiences and requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant IT education on the field of Business Informatics/IT Service Management
  • Working knowledge of ITIL
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification is an advantage

Work experiences – time/seniority/ sector:

  • 2+ years in IT Hardware Asset Management role
  • Experience with other IT Service Management processes
  • Experience in IT Operations

Technical/ IT knowledge:

  • Knowledge of one or more IT Service Management toolsets (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, MicroFocus, Opentext, JIRA Service Management)
  • Experience with the asset and CMDB modules of one or more of above mentioned toolsets
  • Experience with the relevant output of major discovery tools, in relation to hardware asset management (JDisc, InTune, LanDesk, SCCM, ServiceNow Discovery, SNOW Discovery, etc.)
  • Experience with physical Inventory processes

Language – with level

  • Fluent English
  • Fluent German is an advantage
